~ My Acrostic Poem ~

 MUDDLED LIFE

My life was like a muddled canvass
Uncertain and no warm of sunlight
Disarray in colors was always seen
Distorted collage was flowing at here
Loss and fright was painted in me
Every stroke of brush
Discomfort in me.

Light came in a bit of prayer
Invited my soul and renewed my
Faith with HIS hand I found hues that
Evaporates pain and paint my life anew into a picture-perfect sight.

An inspiration from another blogger Sui generis Writer was found
Sharing my Acrostic Poem to all.

This poetry is really challenging  and I love to learn more about it. Thank you so much to all my friends who are expert in poetry for sharing us their knowledge, I really appreciate your kindness..

Thank you so much :)

    2. Hi Sui, again I would like to ask an apology to you :( I am sorry..:( I was careless that's why I got it wrong here :( Sorry friend..:( But I will try another piece to make it up to you and to this form of poetry. It was really a challenging one, hahahaha.. Thank you so much for sharing it with me..:) God bless you! :)

    3. This particular poem is most definitely acrostic but not double acrostic. Perhaps, I should have clarified this in my post. I will add the necessary information to my double acrostic post.

You don’t need to apologize. I am happy enough that you tried this form and associated it with me. Trying any new form takes a bit of time and effort. Now that you are clear about this type of poetry I am sure that you’ll be able to pen it down beautifully. I hope to see your next poem soon.

I also thank Fiona for explaining this to you. I feel partly responsible for not pointing it out to you sooner. You might want to change your title to ‘My Acrostic Poem’. This’ll correct your mistake in this poem. I am sorry Sagittarian because I am rather late in clearing this out.

    4. Hi Sui, thanks for dropping by again! :) And, sharing me the right thing to do with my post, I really appreciate it Sui..:) I will try to make a real double acrostic poem, again soon..:)) LOL

One more thing, aside from forming backward the last letter of every line, how many paragraph should the double acrostic must have?

Thank you so much Sui! :)

    5. The last letter does not necessarily need to be formed backwards. Most of the example I have seen have the first and the last letter same. For instance, your poem would be double acrostic when the formation is as Fiona displayed or in the way I wrote my poem.
      It can be like this:
      M...m
      U...u
      D...d
      D...d
      L...l
      E...e
      D...d
      L...l
      I...i
      F...f
      E...e

The lines have to be such that when you read the poem, the first as well as the last letter spells out each letter of the title. Usually, in poetry the term used is not paragraph but verses or stanza. In this case, the stanzas may vary depending on the the title of your poem. There are various different ways in which poets have written double acrostic. The one that I have mentioned is based on the first as well as the last letter spelling out the title of the poem in the exact manner as it has been written. You might want to search this type of poetry on the internet for more examples to have a clear understanding. Good luck!

Also, I am very happy that you are taking it so seriously. Your dedication will definitely pay off.

  6. I've really seen your writing *blossom* in these last two posts, sweet lady!! You really painted (no pun intended he he) such beautiful imagery for us in this one! Well done :-)

From what I understand, double acrostic doesn't mean two words of acrostic poetry, the 'double' part comes in to play when the last letter of each line contains letters of the same word backwards (in this case 'muddled life') or a different word completely. This is what makes it terribly challenging! I hope you don't mind me adding this knowledge. It may not be accurate but I wanted to share it anyways *smiles*

Hope you're having a day as lovely as you!
    Much Love :-) ♥

    1. Hi Princesa Fiona! :) Thank you so much for coming and sharing me additional info about double acrostic,!:) Muaaahhh!! :) You're right, the last letter must contains the letter of the same word backward, hehehe.. So, I just add it now! hahahaha.:)) Oh, sorry..:( I really need an expert to guide me, and more more more practice is a MUST for me to learn more..:) Hugs and kisses Princesa Fiona! :) *gigle* :)) Smile..:)

    3. Hello ladies! ♥ ♥

Oh dear, look at the raucous I've caused lol! Acrostic poetry was on my challenge list for this year but since Sui introduced this, I don't want to take that away from her PLUS quite a few of my blogging friends have already posted Acrostic poems last year.

It's still not correct, Sagittarian :((

      e
      f
      i
      l

      d
      e
      l
      d
      d
      u
      m

this is one example of which letter should be used at the end of each line of poetry. You can't do that now, you would have to start again, so don't worry about it. Just keep it in mind for next time if there is one LoL! Also check out Sui's post again. She uses the same word but not backwards.

Signing off for the night now, ladies! Behave LoL!!!
